Coast and countryside are on the menu for Jenni Eley and Woody from their South Devon accommodations, both with lake views
In late spring we visited two of the three Lakeshore Leisure Group’s luxury holiday resorts in Devon: Otter Falls and Lakeview Manor. Both resorts are ideally located to explore both inland in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the stunning Jurassic Coast. We made the most of both coast and countryside during our week there, while simultaneously sampling more cream teas than strictly necessary. We arrived at Otter Falls for our four-night stay, not quite knowing what to expect. We’d never stayed at a holiday resort before, but things started well with a warm welcome from the reception team, an upgrade to one of the Signature Lodges and an invite for a complimentary cream tea. May as well start as we mean to go on. There is a wide range of accommodation options available to cater for all tastes and group sizes, including lodges, stone farm cottages and brandnew treehouses. Our lodge was well furnished and equipped, homely and modern inside while remaining charmingly rustic on the exterior. The view, from the huge windows in the open-plan dining-lounge area was spectacular, offering an unspoilt view of the lake. We swapped watching TV for the live nature cinema right outside our window.
