During the August bank holiday we enjoyed a fantastic stay at Sauchope Links Holiday Park in Crail, a quaint harbour town in the East Neuk of Fife. We stayed in a one-bedroom retreat lodge, called The Bay, complete with hot tub, and huge balcony overlooking the sea. When I say overlooking, I mean we were just about on the beach. We had already done some exploring on the way to Crail, stopping off at neighbouring harbour town St Monans to have lunch at East Pier Smokehouse – flaming chorizo, with a side of sea view. Dogs were allowed in the heated gazebo area outside, which protected us from the gusts of wind.
